A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Marged studied with Imogen Barford, Charlotte Seale and Caryl Thomas. Upon graduation from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama she was awarded the Royal Welch Fusiliers Harp Prize. She also holds a Performance Licentiate Certificate from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She participates in a number of different performance settings and enjoys the variety of work brought through freelance work. Marged thoroughly enjoys her work as a private teacher and Orchestral tutor.

As a busy working musician, she works extensively as a freelance orchestral harpist and soloist and has performed on many major stages including Carnegie Hall New York, and the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms. Her concerto debut was at Barbican Hall London, at a pre-LSO concert event. She subsequently performed the same concerto at the City of London Music festival, and toured Italy with the Mozart Flute and Harp concerto with flautist Jack Welch. Marged has performed for the Royal Family and has worked with Dame Evelyn Glennie and Craig Ogden.

As well as her performing work, Marged volunteers with Music in the Vale, a local music competition supporting performing opportunities for young Musicians in the Vale of Glamorgan. In 2019 she worked as Personal Assistant to the Director of the Cowbridge Music Festival which brings world renowed musicians to perform concerts in the local area, and also to deliver musical sessions in care homes and schools as part of the Fringe Festival.
